Conflicts of interests

Under Article 62bis, § 2 of the Act of April 6, 1995, all investment firms must take organizational and administrative measures to prevent conflicts of interests involving investment services and occurring between the company, its directors, senior managers, employees, agents and its authorized agents or any associated company on one hand and its customers on the other hand or between customers, and affecting the latter.

Compagnie de Gestion Privée is an asset management company, independent of any investment group. The services offered by CGP are: asset management and the reception and transmission of orders. Compared with large financial groups, CGP’s offer is restricted to a limited amount of services. This limits the number of potential conflicts of interest. Nevertheless CGP attaches great importance to align its interests with those of its customers.

A document called “Politique en matière de conflit d’intérêts” (in French) includes the various conflicts of interest and the procedures put in place to manage them. Some of the most important conflicts of interests are: conflicts of interest that may arise during transmission of orders, conflicts of interests due to remuneration of CGP’s employees or the conflicts of interests resulting from the fact that employees have access to certain confidential information.

When submitting orders, the interest of private clients always comes before those of CGP, of CGP’s employees or of CGP’s funds.

The remuneration policy also seeks to prevent conflicts of interest.

Every employee is held in strict confidentiality vis-à-vis CGP customer’s information. CGP’s employees signed a confidentiality agreement in this regard.

Employees who identify a conflict of interest are required to inform the compliance officer. The latter is mandated by the CGP to ensure compliance in terms of conflict of interest.
